Sweet. I am a little hesitant of ordering mine now though.

Got mine today. Like it so far. Need to find a guide for it though. I clicked on the link on the official site and it took me to a feature list type page rather then the manual for it. It looks like you could flip the top and bottom screens while in the OS but I can't figure out what button combination to pus to to do it.

If it's anything like the SCDS (which it should be, as I'm assuming it's a DSi-compatible clone), it's... crap, I don't even remember the button combination.  L+A I think?  Pretty sure it's a shoulder button and either A or B, but be careful since some of those combinations are for booting slot-2 in either GBA or DS mode.

I didn't order one of these because I don't own a DSi.  I would be interested in reading about any of your personal experiences with this new DSi compatible Supercard.  Is dantheman correct that DSONEi  basically a DSONE SDHC with DSi support? Are there any other features worth noting? Has the interface been updated?

to be blunt, hes right, they are almost identically the same, just with the DSI Feature. the menu is just as slow too, but never mind that. no new feature i've seen this far.

Now we just need a GBA emulator to run the GBA games we can't run on DSi. I heard a rumor Nintendo was going to put select downloadable GBA titles on the DSiWare service. Maybe then someone could discover a  way inject roms like they did for the virtual console games on the WiiWare service.

johnny9562001

well for them to run gba games of the dsi they would have to completely rewrite the games, how they run,  read and write. because the way they are set to run is no possible, unless they left the gba processor hidden somewhere, but even than they would still have to rewrite the way the games read and run/execute, if not, we would have been able to just run them of the slot 1 cards, right? please someone correct me if im wrong or add more insight

He is talking about a GBA emulator, not running them native.

but even if its an emulator, would it be possible? it wouldtn be possible to create an emulator for the ds lite with a slot one, why would it be any different for the dsi? unless the dsi can use its built in memory, than i guess that would work

The thing is, I don't think we've ruled out the possibility that the GBA hardware still exists in the DSi.  Perhaps the hardware is still there, even if the slot isn't, and perhaps Nintendo does have plans on using it to allow for downloadable GBA content.  Now granted, I don't know enough about the hardware to say where the GBA rom would go (namely, if the DSi's RAM acts like the DS's RAM or if it can also act like current slot-2 RAM), but the idea remains.  If Nintendo does allow for this to happen, then it wouldn't be terribly difficult to inject our own roms.

Software emulation is still a pipe dream.  The DSi is more powerful, true, but I still don't think it's got what it takes to emulate the GBA in software.  Maybe 5 fps tops, if that.

johnny9562001

thanks Dan ,thats exactly what im referring to, i just dont think they can emulate it, i mean they can but i just wont run like its suppose to. but your right, we just dont know what exactly is hidden within the DSI and it is more powerful, the only way i can see it running is if they can store it in the built in ram, and it would have to   be fast enough to support the emulation or like i said, we would  probably be talking about them remaking the gba games in the sense they run accordingly to how the DSi reads and writes to its ram.
