Yeah, I read that before installing myself. SDHC is kind of important to me, so I held back and kept 1.0.1 myself. Bushing already said they are working on a fix, and I am sure it'll be released in due time.

EDIT: I went ahead and installed the IOS version (can't install boot2 unfortunately..Wii is too new) and the new HBC.

At least it is still possible to backup and restore the NAND with the IOS version. It is just that if the system has a hard brick (like system menu getting deleted) I will never be able to get in and restore. Not that I believe that will ever happen, but I really do wish I had a boot2 install.

Anyway, the new version of the HBC is needed to load up bootmii IOS, so I had no choice but to use 1.0.2. Oh well.

Finally, this works quite well with preloader. I can boot directly to preloader, then HBC, then bootmii should I ever feel like restoring a nand backup. Not as graceful as the boot2 install, but it does work fine.

I am home all day (unemployed now) and go out to have a few drinks and a release happens. Maybe I should leave and drink more...haha

Two weeks after beta 1 we bring you the first bugfix release: beta 2. Next to the usual metric ton of minor fixes and cleanups, here are the changes worth mentioning:

BootMii beta 2 (v0.9):

    * SD card performance has been improved, decreasing the boot and the NAND backup / restore time
    * backupmii accepts fragmented SD cards now, reformatting is not performed anymore. Old NAND dumps are still compatible.
    * Introduced the INI variable “BOOTDELAY” to set the timeout for the auto boot feature

The Homebrew Channel v1.0.3:

    * SDHC cards are working again
    * SD performance has been increased again (regression was introduced in v1.0.2)
    * HBC works on all system menu versions now
    * Fixed rare hangs when exiting HBC

DVDX:

    * Switched back to IOS < 37. While the SDHC problem for apps using DVDX has been fixed in libogc, there were also problems with USB keyboards under higher IOS versions

Installer v0.2:

    * Installer now works on newer Wiis with boot2v4
    * Fixed reading of boot1/2 on Wiis with bad ECC data in that area
    * BootMii as boot2 and IOS can now be uninstalled

We can now uninstall BootMii from boot2

I guess now so long as we can access the SD slot we are pretty much bulletproof now install and REMOVE lol!
