So i heard that sims 2 works ok for cf but what about sd.  I tried rom 162 and couldnt get it to work.  Has anyone else had any luck?

P.S.  Whats up with asking for a password on the supercard download site?

New firmware is great...

Shame the two games I wantred to play, splinter cell and sims 2 both suck!

I am loving Mario Kart though and its saving nicley on the new Firmware :)

I also (as I mentioned in anouther post) love the rom trimming.

Stevo.

I was already manually trimming my roms... so it's nice, but all it did was save me 30 seconds and 2 button presses.

Kirby works... that makes me smile... it's a little disappointing that the CF version is so much better then the SD version.

Are you using version 2.43? Or 2.431? The SD version 2.43 was a bad version and 2.431 was uploaded soon after that fixed the problem.

I'm currently using an SD patched version from the 2.431 SD patcher (set to save to the DS slot) and it works beautifully.

Can someone please tell me how I can get Sims2 to work on my SC? I've updated both the software and the firmware but the game still doesn't work. I am using CF SC in a GBA. Thanks.

fitzie

I think its only the DS version of the Sims 2 that works.  I couldn't get the GBA version to work, patches but dosnt load.

I remember there is a special way to get Urbz to work but I can't remember how. It's something to do with the .SAV file.

sneef

gba sims2 loads if you only patch it with the enable save.  But it wont save.  you can save and it won't crash, but when you check your save game menu (while you are still in the sims2) there's nothing there, therefore, there's nothing to save from SRAM to SD/CF card.  So you could only play it if you left it on continuously.

but i believe this thread is about sims2 DS, on the new firmware. :)

wwan

I remember with Urbz, I have to turn the GBA off and on immediately and open an SAV file to save. OH! the subject heading only reads SIMS 2 but no DS.

zektor

I remember the Urbz too. I had to turn the GBA off and never load it again!

No offense, I have never been into those Sims games. I'm sure I wouldn't like part 2 either. All in all, the update is great. Everything I love playing works great, so I'm a happy camper!
