cIOS38 Revision 12 released..

Changelog:

[ CIOS38 rev 12 ]:

- Based on IOS 38 v3610.
- Support for consoles with serial number LU64+
- Error 001/002 patching system improved.
- Cover check patch added.
- EHCI module improved (thanks to Hermes).
- SDHC module improved.
- DIP plugin improved.
- ES plugin added.
- FFS plugin added.
- Some patches fixed.
- Misc improvements and fixes.


For those unaware, this is an update from cIOS36 Revision 10 (IOS249). I installed tonight and everything works just fine. I performed the network install btw. No offline wad included for obvious reasons (you won't need it for network install anyway)

Is it worth the update? even if you don't use a HD ?!

Well it does fix some USB peripheral issues....but the bigger fixes are for the HD. I noticed that Metroid now no longer needs a disc in the drive to boot off the USB, and I would imagine most of the other games that required this no longer do. And of course if you have a newer Wii that was previously unhackable..well..this is BIG news for you!

I'd just install it for the bugfixes. It is an official Waninkoko release, and I trust it :)

a thing i noticed was my usb harddrive will only work in one side now after i upgraded

Yeah. I think it is USB slot 1. This is because slot 0 is now reserved for USB peripherals. Not a bug..this was intentional :) Good to note however. If after you upgrade your HD does not work, simply swap the USB port. I didn;t notice since I always had it plugged into the correct port anyway :)
