I have an SC Lite, and when I try to use AR cheats with multiple options on it, it'll only let me select one of the options.

Example: An RPG has an experience point multiplier(x2,x4,x8) but when I go to choose how high I want the multiplier to be, I can only use the highest value.

The only way I can get cheats I convert myself to work without this problem is to make each option its own entry otherwise it's just the same as using official cheats, or cheats made by someone else.

If you're making your own, then you know to put a @ in front of each entry, right?  Well, for each sub-entry (each different option for the cheat) put a # in front of it.  Then convert as usual.  You should be able to select multiple options then.  Also make sure you're pressing the "A" button to cycle through the options, not the D-PAD.
