heres the long awaited firmware upgrade for the dsonei so you can use it on a dsi with 1.4 firmware

updateen_for_1.4.zip - english

updatecn_for_1.4.zip - chinese

QuoteQ: How to use Firmware writer?
A: Please download Newest Firmware from http://eng.supercard.sc. Copy downloaded firmware to microSD insert into DSONEi then insert into Firmware writer then into USB port for power supply and operation. No extra software need, the Firmware writer will renew the firmware of DSONEi automatic. 8 Mins. needed. Flashing light mean renew in progress. Green light mean renew finished. Red light mean renew failed. If failed, please repeat the progress.

so first came TAK then DANNY PHANTOM and now STARWARS wonder what us M3i Zero owners will end up with !?

If they ever get a release out there :(

Just looked and this isn't on the supercard site yet, unless I've got cache problems!

its maybe not on the main site because of the code in the .bin file? (just a guess)
it was on the official chinese forum & i can confirm it works

Just finished recording a video demonstrating the update process and showing that it doesn't brick the supercard. I will be posting it on YouTube as soon as possible!

Though you couldn't brick it even if you tried since the USB flasher doesn't care if the Supercard is bootable or not....The one benefit of owning a SuperCard instead of an AceKard, fake R4, or other competing cart! Only the M3i has a USB flasher as well....All others risk being bricked if the process is interrupted!

Just be happy it didn't end up using a Spongebob Squarepants name/icon.

EDIT: Video of the firmware update process:

It's still in the processing stage, but should be viewable by the time someone comes by and sees this thread. :D

Good to hear.  Might try upgrading mine soon, though I've heard that microSD cards above 4 GB don't work for some reason and I've only got an 8 GB one.  Either way, thanks for the video Tankerbot.

my 8GB didnt work it sat for 10 mins before i realised it wasnt working but my 4GB worked in less that 8 mins

Tankerbot

I used a 4GB card in my video...If you used your 4GB or smaller to update and then put the 8GB back in...Will it still work? Or does greater then 4GB cards stop working entirely with this update?

i use a 8GB memory card & it works after the update (games load fine)
(i dont use the scmenu to load games i use moonshell2 but that should not mater)

Hmm...It seems that the flasher is sensitive to what filesystem the SD card is using in respect to it's capacity. I tried to update using a 64mb SD card that was formatted as FAT32 and the flasher would just give me a steady red light (meaning failure). So I reformatted it as FAT (aka FAT16) and then it worked just fine. :D

It will probably work with FAT32 only if the card is greater then a 1GB in size. Not sure why a 8GB card wouldn't work. Perhaps the cluster size you used didn't work with it.

I'm downgrading it now as I won't need the update since i don't own a DSi (yet). If I eventually get a DSi, I will then proceed to update it.

my 8GB is formated fat32 with 32kb clusters for moonshell2 & my 4GB was formated fat32 with default clusters also
my 8GB had 2GB of games & a few loaders but my 4GB was empty so maybe the 8GB will work if its default formatted & empty (maybe!!)

The main site news page has been updated now...Is the update on that page the same as this one?

ive just went back to 1.0 firmware using a 8GB card (default format) in 7 minutes :tard: i think mine never worked before because it was formated with 32kb clusters & had 2GB of games & loaders on it

@dantheman
it works fine with 8GB cards its just very slow......

My USB dongle is back at home, so I can't give it a try until I make a trip in a week or two.
