My brother has an Xbox 360 and I think it's modded.  He didn't provide me much details and well, I guess he wouldn't know anyway.  He was asking about a game he loads that says region code is incorrect so I'm asking knowledgeable 360 owners here if there are ways around this.  Are there any avenues around this?  I've read a bit on the internet that says there's nothing you can do about it but I'm afraid that maybe the data is outdated.  I thought you guys would know.

Thanks.

Hello I am new to this forum 20 minutes new to be exact. I only registered to try and help you, you say the console is modded can you explain to me in what way it is modded I need more details to help you better.  Just saying it is modded doesn't exactly help, there are many different kinds of mod`s the one that may truly help in this situation is a DVD firmware flash, usually called a mod by many people unaware of how it is done.
anyways back to the point If this console is flashed, thus meaning he can play backups then there is a simple solution to this, but I must first ask you another question is this game a backup or is it a real copy. once you have answered these question I will reply back with another set of question`s and thus leading to the last step where we finally know if he can play it or not.

I can't answer whether the drive is flashed or if it's a soft mod or whatever as I've barely even seen the console myself, much less seen it in action.  The game is a backup copy for sure, I am almost positive in that.  I'm just simply asking what options exist for region bypassing (if such exists).

Like...
if the drive is flashed, here are your options...
if the 360 has some modchip, here are your options...

or...
if the drive is flashed, you're sh*t out of luck.

Because, really, I have no freaking clue.  So I just need a little bit of info on what's out there.

After going through some more FAQs... I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible.  GBAtemp has a fantastic FAQ that covered most of my questions.

Cheers.
