Is it common to not be able to do "remote play" locally or remotely?

I formatted my flashes via m33 recovery and will try again tonight.

When connecting locally it kept giving me the "the ps3 system that this system is registered with was not found" when it indeed was set up correctly.

I have read a lot about people having trouble connecting over the internet remotely, has this been "disabled?" or is there a version.txt fix or anything?

Any help is appreciated.  TIA!

did you connect it to your PS3 and register it to your own PS3 first!?


if its been registered previously to another PS3 it needs doing again to register it to the current one

Yeah, it's strange, it seems like the simplest setup but I am having trouble.   I've done everything about 20 times, following guides, etc.

When connecting via the PS3 or my WLAN it connects for a second, the PS3 responds but jumps back to the remote play screen, the error message is shown on the PSP.  I'm not sure what's up.

I'll screw around with it some more.
