Hello folks, haven't been on awhile. I now have 3 SuperCards for GBA. Ordered 7 of them to get 3 of them. 3 were bad and got replacements, and a 4th never arrived. Anyways, we are very happy with this. And I now have a Nintendo DS, used, and want to get a Card for DS games. Something like a SuperCard, but for the DS. So I am starting all over (though not abandoning what we have, just adding to it).

I want something for under $10.00. Please make some recommendations. What do I want? Something that will play movies and games like the SuperCard. perhaps something that you can plug into the PC and load such onto some SD card.

I am very unfamiliar with the DS scene. But been using the SuperCard on the GBA for almost a year now I think.

I see several at Deal Extreme, but really don't know what i am looking for. Which are good, and which are not. And there seems to be alot of them under $10.00.

It doesn't have to be a Super card brand either...any type of Card that can be recommended, please...

Well the AK2i is good and can be used on the DSi as well as the DS, so you are upwards compatible in the future. Deal extreme is slightly cheaper than 0shippingzone. Recently my friend ordered from Deal extreme and it took 1 1/2 months to get the card in the mail and the order wasn't all there. My other friend took my advice and ordered from Oshippingzone and he had it in 14 days. Well worth the two extra dollars and he got a free stylus as well.

I like Deal Extreme, even though I have had problems with them. As noted above, I had to order 7 Super cards to get 3. But they always helped me when this occurred, and even gave me store credit for the shipping I had to pay for returns.

I am a penny pincher and am willing to wait, to save a buck.

I appreciate any and all referals for what I am looking for.

Okay, I did some research, I had narrowed it down to Acekard 2i or DSTTi. Acekard is being shown to be higher quality, and is still less than $13.00. So I may splurge the extra 3 bucks for it.

I just looked and what I have is really a DS Lite. Will this card work on it:

Acekard 2i AK2i Multimedia SDHC TF Cart for DSi/NDSi/DS Lite

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18728

And will it play movies?

Will this some how enhance or work with my SuperCard?

What kind of media (SD's) can it use? Any SDHC micro SD? Up to what size? Can it use 2GB regular non-HC Micro-SD's? (I have some already).

Does anyone think I should just get a DSTTi? If I get a DSTT its almost half the price, but if I get the DSTTi then the price is almost that of the AK2i.

2nd add:

Found more info off the wiki:

Should I buy an Ak2.1 or an AK2i?
Please first be aware that Nintendo has blocked the use of the AK2i's current exploit on the 1.4J firmware update. Current DSi kits should be purchased with this in mind. If you only have a DSi then use/purchase the AK2i. If you currently do not have a DSi, it is strongly recommended that you wait. As of right now none of the DSi specific functions (Games, DSi-ware, features, etc) have been hacked. There is a strong possibility that the encryption may never be hacked. Make your informed purchases carefully.

With this in mind, perhaps I should just get the AK2 or should I consider the DSTTi or is that gonna have the same problem?
