That's excellent news!

although I'm not in a rush to get the DSi LL atm I'm quite happy with my DSi :)

That sounds good for DSi users.  Do DSi games work on the DSi compatible flahcarts on both the DSi and DSi LL?

There are no flashcarts on the market that can play DSi games yet.

Jakob here told me someone stole this video from youtube and made it their own. Here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysr_fXbAKyk

I emailed them and they promised to add my site 0ShippingZone.com back to the video. I also asked them to add the comment that the original video was made by 0Shippingzone.com and  the source is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0I7zVGv_UA.

Thanks to Jakob for spotting this. Members here are welcome to comment on that video to point out the fact that they stole it from us. Their web site url is http://www.ndscardshop.co.uk

They claimed they tried to contact us about using our video which was a lie since they also claimed they are our customers. They should have known how to contact us if they were our customer.

I see the owner of that shop also went to GBAtemp and made a thread about the video.  And lots of people were thanking him for making a video about this when it wasn't even his.

Thank you so much. They claimed that they tried to contact us about the video but without success. They also did not think it was big deal for "borrowing" the video from us.

the ez-flash vi hardware revision 805 is compatible with the UK version of the DSi XL
but the hardware revision 705 does not work with the UK version of the DSi XL

These are the reasons why I'm steering clear from all these DS incarnations.  To be honest, I'd love the DSi LL(XL or whatever) as the big screen is a huge thing for me.  But, all these flash cart compatibilities and firmware updates are a nightmare.

it's really no big deal.  There's no nightmare about it.  If you like the big screens, I say go for it.  I'm planning on putting my DSi up for sale on ebay tonight so that I can buy the XL on release date.

I have to admit I'm a little torn by the fact that the "3DS" is coming out pretty soon, and I'm sure I'll want that, but I figure by that time I can always sell the DSi XL if I want to.

On the firmware side, I'm mentally sapped of having to check if Nintendo's firmware update kills support or what software/hardware revisions to check.  For me, that's the quagmire of all these new incarnations.  The DSi XL is going to way of the GB Micro, as far as I'm concerned, but I have to admit, it looks like one damn fine hardware to buy since my original fat DS is on its last legs with a dodgy touch screen and broken plastic casing.

On the new hardware, I think the 3DS is a gimmick.  I'd wait for E3 on anything about that.  Too early to say what it really is.
