ive put aside a red DSi XL at work for me & im going to buy it today my son gets his brown DSi XL tomorrow just got to find pokemon HG today before 12 as were going away for a couple of days for my sons birthday
i hope the dstwo is released soon as i dont have a cart to go with my DSi XL i may just buy a cart while im waiting (maybe)

but i only live in a small town & the two shops that would have had pokemon HG are only giving them out to preorders customers so ill phone up the shops in the next town & if i can get it i go on the way to out weekend break.... wish me luck

You should get the Acekard 2i for it.  And then wait and get the Supercard DStwo.  AKAIO will probably have much faster updates than Supercard.  Plus Acekard is very cheap.  If you want to wait for the Supercard DStwo I know for sure Gamekool.com will have it late April.

Awww, that's nice   I sort of want a DSi XL, but at the same time, part of me is thinking that it's not really worth buying since I have a DSL and DSi already, which is pretty much what I'm going with.

And Pokemon really really rocks.  I had to order mine online because locally it was sold out.    Soul Silver FTW

i just bought another ez-flash vi as i know its working with the DSi XL i got it this morning just 11 hours after i ordered it (fast)

got my red DSi XL

my son decided he liked the red DSi XL better than the brown so we swapped

ill phone up the shops in the next town

i could not get pokemon HG/SS so i had to preorder it from the local game shop so hopfully monday

weekend break....

my son fell ill while we were away & hes being sick for 18 hours hes on the sofa now asleep after throwing up all night so we come home early (its a 6th birthday to remember)

Why would you get a EZ-Flash Vi?  And not a Supercard DSonei or Acekard 2i.

ive owned both an acekard & lots of supercards & i think the ez-flash vi is a much better card than both

i owned an acekard 2 & it had slow down with every game & no extra features (before AKAIO)
the place were i bought the vi from didnt have any dsonei's & i dont think i want another since im going to get a dstwo when they come out

also i know there was no problems with the vi & the DSi XL they both work well as my son uses both

That is great! These screens are just what the DS has always needed. Damn, now I wish I didn't piss away all of my tax return

The DSi XL looks damn sweet!  Awesome stuff.  Makes me want one as my Fat DS is dilapidated with a damaged touch screen and cracked casing.  Still, the timing of this device is just plain weird with the 3DS coming soon.  I would want a DSi XL but the question of flash cart, Nintendo firmware and DSi support comes to mind.

Just got a DSi XL.  Pretty nice screen.  I'm wondering how to keep my DSi firmware from upgrading.

I wanted to use the DSi browser for surfing but am afraid it'll upgrade the firmware.  Can anyone shed some light?
