Look at the moderation logs JMR, his account was deleted, but where it usually has the name of the person who moderated the account, it is blank. No one here intentionally deleted the account as far as I can tell, looks like a software F up.

I'm not all that experienced with SMF, but I know with vBulletin or phpBB or pretty much more bulletin boards, you can manually edit all the posts with phpmyadmin and tie all his posts to a userid or whatever they call it on SMF.  It should be pretty simple since all his posts still have his "username" as kkan, so you can just arrange it alphabetically and then userid is generally set to 0 for guests and change it all to his userid, be it his old account or new account.

Yeah not sure where the hell his userid went.  I am going to at least associate all of his previous posts with his new name for now.

Pffft, he's not a guru anymore, just a lowly established member.   

In any case, I'm pretty sure the admins can change your name back.  I assume they couldn't before because there was a certain guest who posted under kkan and changing your account from kkan234 to kkan would have caused conflicts, but now that all the kkan posts are reverted to kkan234, you could probably change your username.  Ahhh, I wish I knew more about SMF, maybe I should fiddle with it in the near future.
