Looks like Apple is going to hold a press conference this friday at 10am PT regarding the iPhone 4. This has to be either because of the antenna problems or hopefully a Verizon version.

I have a gut feeling they may HAVE TO do a recall!

a recent consumer survey stated they COULD NOT recommend the iPhone 4 due to the antenna issues (they did lab tests and found it was indeed faulty)  and not the apple excuse of miscalculated signal bars (Yeah right did any of you apple owners actually believe that half assed cover up statement!?)

and what about the comment made by mr big himself at apple Steve Jobs making the remark of "just dont hold it that way" in a supposed email exchange with a user!?

I'm a PRO android addict here and watching this with interest of how they are handling it!

1.4 million handsets out there and most showing this fault a recall would be a financial nightmare but maby its a necessity at this stage to save the company from being sued the a$$ off by disgruntled and fobbed off consumers!

No recall according to the Wall Street Journal. From WSJ (Through Engadget):

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that a "person familiar with the matter" has told them that Apple will not be recalling the iPhone 4 and it's faulty antenna tomorrow. So what will they do instead? Free bumpers? Gift cards? Extended return policy? A gigantic middle finger in the middle of the stage while Jobs pelts the press with rocks? We'll find out tomorrow!

Turns out, they decided to give out the free bumper cases.
