That would be me. After hours of research and an annoying tutorial, I now have iOS 4 jailbroken on my MC Model Touch. Woot!

I will say, app compatibility is teh lose right now. Winterboard, MXTube, and mobile terminal don't work as well as many others but installous works fine... If you catch my drift...

I am a huge android fan, I just couldn't afford an Android Based device now.
Also, thanks, been doing jailbreak stuff for a while now but I bought a used touch and it came preloaded with iOS 4. Had to downgrade and upgrade with a custom restore file. heh

Do you think its worth upgrading for me to 4.0 and jailbreaking?  I currently have a MC model Touch that is 8GB and is on 3.1.3.  Or its to much work right now?  And is this jailbreak tethered or not?

By the way when I backup my apps to iTunes does it also backup my saves of the apps?

Not really, I have the same exact model as you and the only reason I did this was because it came with 4.0 preinstalled. Even now, I decided to downgrade to 3.1.2 and use it for now until spirit is released for 4.0 and apps have better compatibility. 3.1.3 is great as is, and the new features in iOS 4 don't even affect our devies that much, I'dstay on 3.1.3
Not sure about he save states for apps.

My philosophy is that I'm going to stay with 3.1.3 until I have a good reason to change.  There's nothing about iOS4 that really warrants an upgrade.  Multitasking?  Backgrounder and Kirikae do it better.  Home screen backgrounds?  Winterboard fully custom themes.  Folders?  Categories and CategoriesSB (the latter REALLY makes a difference in usability).  Bluetooth keyboards?  Cydia's got an app that does that too, plus Bluetooth mice, plus other standard Bluetooth features like file transfer.

Unless you're like Solar here and got it with IOS4 already, there's no compelling reason to want to upgrade yet.

Gotta agree, for iOS 4 Apple just took a look at the jailbreak community and copied them, lol. I mean if you have an iPhone 4 of course the new os is awesome, but the above cydia apps give you the same functionality without slowing your old iDevice to a slow death crawl like iOS 4 does to the old hardware. Backgrounder is a must have!

Yup, the only think I really liked about iOS4 was the way folders worked. It was way better than Categories + CategoriesSB. But of course, Apple found a way to screw this up by limiting folders to 12 apps
