Im sure some of you already read about this, but on monday changes were made to the DMCA that make jailbreaking legal!

Here is the NPR article that discusses this more in depth: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=128772296

Alot of people were already jailbreaking regardless of the law, but what this does is make jailbreaking teams able to operate out in the open. I could also see this taking financial turn as im sure some company is going to make jailbreaking tools and try to charge for them. While I don't agree with charging for the these tools, commercialization would make jailbreaking apps come out faster as more programmers will be working on them. Good times!!

P.S. This new law also applies to "rooting" the jailbreaking method used on Googles "Andriod" devices.

Does that mean if I jailbreak my iPod Touch and send it to Apple for repairs will they still fix it?

No Apple says it voids your warranty. You could restore it then send it and apple will never know you jailbroke it.
