I have a NDS Lite. The plastic on the case at the hinge just got a crack in it. Is there an easy fix for this? Is there any reputable repair people to send it to?
thanks

I personally can't recommend a reputable NDS Lite repair service for a cracked hinge. It's a time consuming process to replace a DS shell.  I tried replacing one myself with a clear plastic shell several years ago but couldn't get the hinge to work perfectly, it was always slightly loose.

If your DS Lite is still under warranty then Nintendo might repair it or replace it with a new one.  I've had two DS Lites replaced by Nintendo for a cracked hinge. Nintendo paid for shipping cost and sent me a brand new unit. Try calling the 800 number on the back of your DS lite.

Another option I've read people do is make a cash purchase of a new DS Lite (same color) from a place like Walmart, swap the bottom part of the shell that has the serial number on it, then return the one with the broken hinge for a cash refund. I've never tried this method myself.  You would need a tri-wing screwdriver to swap the bottom part of the shell.
