Anyone else out there using a Mac? I'm on OSX and do all my patching using Virtual PC.
There's been lots of talk round here about Wireless solutions using USB devices as Access Points - I'm trying to do this on a Mac (nintendo's usb stick doesn't support Mac, and wireless routers are expensive).
While there are plenty of USB wireless devices that come with Mac drivers, none I've come across have the Soft AP utility required to get your DS online.
Any Mac users in this forum who have managed to get online with their DS this way? I'd like some pointers! If I find a solution I'll post here too.

"Wireless routers are expensive?"  Unless you're a kid, you can pick up just about any wireless router for $50 to $70 or sometimes less.  If you need to find a cheap one, go to http://www.dealmac.com to look for a deal.  I do all my patching through VPC too.  But Mario Kart works fine through my Netgear wireless router (the little white one).  What is the problem here?

I just bought a cheapy no-name (literally) brand wireless access point for $20 and it works great with mario kart. No lag or anything.

I have a powerbook w/ tiger, and use virtual pc to patch roms, etc. I have an apple iport extreme that has worked flawlessly with mariokart, i didn't even have to configure anything, i just stuck my WEP password in the MKDS settings. I would ditch nintendo's little usb thing and get a real wireless router.

btw something cool i found, you can use skype for live voice chat (works on pc, mac, linux, and pocketpc!!!) to chat w/ friends while racing wi-fi. pretty sweet setup, and works well on the mac.
