Hey all,
i'm currently waiting for my SC SD version to arrive, i already had one SC CF last year but i sold it a few months later (when i sold my GBA too, because i wanted to buy the DS), i had no idea it would be possible to play NDS games using the sweet SC
I do know everything about SC and GBA games, however, i really don't know so much about SC and DS games, that's why i'm creating this topic.

so before i get started i just need a few answers...

1 *noob question alert * - I know that if you use FlashMe and you don't have the latest version (FlashMe v5) you'll break your DS firmware when you try to go on-line with Mario Kart or Tony Hawks, but will you break your DS firmware if you're only using PassMe?

2 - After using the PassMe to boot a NDS rom when should you remove it? I heard it will suck the battery a lot faster if you don't remove it.

3 - Does the rom compression in SC software work with DS roms? If so, does it affect anything beside the game loading time?

4 - Is it true that if you save your game data when the battery LED is red your SuperCard will brick?... I've read this somewhere but it's kinda non-sense...right? I mean, you could lose your save, but brick the SC? :?

Thanks in advance

1. No

2. If you want, but some games will not work (I think)

3. Roms don't get compressed, they get trimmed.

4. No

4) Yes , sometimes. The LED will flash when your battery is at critical level. The power consumption will increase when you are saving, that's why it will flash when you save when you battery is really low.

so, when the LED starts flashing, is it safe to save your game?

another doubt: what is the difference btw setting ROM/SAVE position into SD or SC? which of these settings do you recommend?

It's safe to save at any time. The only diffrence between rom save in SD or SC is where it saves the .sav file. Of course if you choose SD it will save it to your SD card and if you choose SC it will save it to the DS game you have in your Superpass/Passme slot. Choosing SD allows you to use Flashme and save to the SD card and not worry about the Superpass/Passme. You will find in some peoples case that they say a certain game will work better set at one or the other setting but I always choose SD so that I dont have to use the Superpass.

Passme should be removed when you've turned on the ds and it's at the supercard screen.

Take it out then load a game. It doesn't work for all games though so you should do some testing.

Also if you take the passme out you will not be able to put the ds in standby mode. It will turn off when you close the ds.
