Hello,

Since I just got another Super Card (CF this time) for my second NDS, I just wanted to check the compatibility issue between CF and SD cards as far as .sav files.

I have copied from the SD to CF the .sav of Castlevania and Mario 64, all seems to work OK.

Is this the case with all the games or not, I am afraid of getting a corrupted save later on and would like to know if there is anything to be worried about.

the save files are identical, so no need to worry.  

I also picked up a CF version recently.. i use it for sims and tony hawk, and other games that don't fare so well on the SD version..

As stated by sneef the saves are identical. All the saves are, are dumps of the eeprom or flash of a normal DS game (specifically a blank 256k dump is produced when you create a rom)

That's why you can use RAIN to dump the save from a real cart and load it up straight away on supercard, no matter which version you use and vice versa (load a save from supercard back into a real game)

semi off topic:

speaking of RAIN, any word as to why there are reports of it not working with AC:WW saves?  I am getting my original cart in a couple days and I sooo much want to directly copy my save over, rather than migrate my character..

I only heard one report of it not working. I'd just try it and see. Worst case scenario you just have to format the save on the real card if it doesn't work.

Hello Sneef, Pisa is doing fine, I've had some more visitors lately bearing gifts/fruit so in a few days it will start looking more fruitfull.  I found a Coconut on the beach one morning, planted it and can't wait to grow a few more coconut trees and hopefully spread coconut joy by xmas to all friends.
