Does anybody think OpenGEM (http://gem.shaneland.co.uk/index.html)
could be ported to DS?
It has its own application format I think...(I havent researched the core much but it looks pretty good...)

Besides the name.. SCDEv its not realy a dev comunnit.. try forum.gbadev.org

Looks like a simple Dos GUI with some application extentions... You'd have to port all applications and games files for it manually... but I don't think it'd be impossible.

Gem is an old dos gui. So we need dos for it :)

Not nessessarily.  You could build functionality into it without using another program 'below' it.

What about freedos?
That can run GEM (at least the version in DOSbox...)...
(I have a feeling i just dont know when to drop it... :p)
