Guide updated with the links to the newest moonshell (.8 as of posting) as well as some new "recommended" settings I've tested. If anyone has any more results and their recommendations for settings, please post them and I'll try them out and see what comes of it ^_^

I have a Problem: (I do have Moonshell 0.9)
Everytime i want to encode a video exactly after the tutorial i get these error messages:
-The dll „cpuinf32.dll“ can not be loaded
-The dll „mplapx.dll“ can not be loaded
-Extractwave.exe can not be started
Then i have the dpg file and when i want to start it on SD the screen turns rapidly into black and back and nothing happens.
What should i do????

is there no way so i can get a better audio quality?

I'm satisfied enough w/ the Video quality...
but the sound is horible... >_<

Hmmm... I do exactly as the guide says. And everything works fine. Exept for one thing. The converter (that converts from AVI to MPG) is always making a about 200 minutes long MPG file. For example the 79 minutes are the movie and the other 121 are only black image with no sound. This happens for ALL AVI movies I tried so far. I know this isn't a problem, since u can just cut the MPG file, but it makes the coding time over 2 times longer (not to say about 2 pass VBR coding...).

I do exactly as the guide says too... but no audio!! what should I do..?! :(

This guide was for an older version of dpgenc. The new version is much better at converting video, and as long as everything is in a format it can understand, you can let it handle all the conversion. Here's the settings I use:

Audio:
32000Hz
96kbps
ffmpeg.exe

Video: (check "re-encode video stream")
Width - 256px
Aspect Ratio 4:3
Bitrate 256
Framerate 15
Brightness 100%
Blur off
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.
