for gba...just drag and drop roms?

I just got my SuperCard SD in the mail and I am planning on using it to play some GBA games and NES roms primarily on my GBA SP.  Am I correct that after I have formatted my SD card all I have to do is drag and drop the roms onto the card and it should work?  Or does some converting have to be done?

Do I have to load an emulator on to the SD card for the NES games or will the supercard just recognize them and play them?

Also, do I need an emulator for the old original gameboy games?

I see something about a kernel in the Downloads part of the site...is that needed for the GBA?

Sorry for all the newbie questions, but this is probably the best, most friendly board I have found.

Thanks.

You need to download the patcher from the download section of this site, you then run clean roms through the patcher and put the generated files onto your SD card.

I cant help with the emulators as I use my PSP/GP32 for emulators.

Good Luck.

You need to download the Patching Software from this site. Just click "Downloads" --> "SD" and select Patching Software v2.44.

With this program, you can select a ROM and push "Out", which will generate 3 files - an .scz, an .sci and a .sav. You need to copy these three files to your card.

NES games will work without any converting, though there are other, nicer NES emulators out there if you don't like the Supercard's inbuilt one.

EDIT: Sorry, wasn't paying attention, it's 2.44, not 1.44

no, get the latest one because even though it's mainly for nds stuff, it has better gba compatibility

Isn't there a way to update SC's internal emulators?

Koji

No there is no way to update the internal emulators, but you can use the latest version of the emulators without any problem.
