Well, i just ordered a Multi SuperCard. But just when i did that, i came into reading that the Multi SuperCard does not work with linkplay between 2 gba. now, please, verify this. I heard Multi SuperCard was the ultimate card but that's quite a dropback.

Diablo

Where are you getting the "Multi" part from?  It's just called a "Supercard".  Where did you order yours from?  Are they the ones who added the "Multi" to the name?

Yes, we have had a few members post that they were unable to get multiplayer games to work with the Supercard.  So, it does appear that the Supercard may not be compatible with multiplayer games.  It would be greatly appreciated if you were to contribute to this information by testing multiplayer capabilities yourself and posting your results when you receive your Supercard.

Oops, it´s supposed to be Mini SuperCard. But have you tried multiplayer-support? You seem to be the leader here sort of.

This one. It really doesn´t matter, my question is:

does it work multiplayer. There is no real information on this one.

Ok, it seems like that vendor just added their own little name to the card...it's the same thing.

All current information seems to indicate that multiplayer is not supported.  This is a tough thing to test though because it's rare that someone has two GBAs or knows someone locally that also has a GBA.

Diablo

Not to mention it's even harder to find someone who can test both retail carts and using another flash cart/Supercard, or test on all possible combinations of handhelds (GBA-GBA, GBA-GBA SP, GBA-DS, GBA SP-GBA SP, GBA SP-DS, and DS-DS).

Well yeah. The thing is, i can just aswell send it back if that´s the case. They say Supercard is the ultimate card out there. But de-activating multiplayer-support makes it not so all-round as many says.

Diablo

It would be poor business to say a product you sell is not as good as a competing product, now wouldn't it?

But how many other flash carts allows you to watch movies, listen to music, and read eBooks?  Or plays NES, GG/SMS, GB/GBC, and PCE/TG-16 ROMs without a need for converting/injecting them, or using an external emulator to run them?  Or what other carts allow you to put upto 2GB of ROMs on them?

It's not for everyone, that is for sure, but I enjoy mine quite a bit and would not trade it for any other GBA flash cart out there. 8)

Hi (first post on this forum) =)

Well, I have a DS and I can tell you that it cannot connect to a GBA or GBA SP in any way =)... there is no way to connect any kind of link cable to the DS. The DS do not support multiplayer on GBA games... so the things to test is only between two GBA:s.

Not yet.

I don't doubt there will be an adapter of some sort that either allows wireless GBA connectivity with the DS, or a hub which connects wirelessly with the DS and contains a GBA link-cable port.  From what I've heard, the only current limitation is a lack of a port on the DS, not a lack of internal hardware.  Think the GBA SP and the headphone jack issue.

No, ofcourse not. But this is something most people would like to know. For some people, it can even be vital information. What if you are a programmer, and want to program a multiplayer-supported game or software. the programmer would not be able to do such thing. Ofcourse it´s good to point out the cool things about Supercard, but if supercard has to deal with such big flaw, someone would also like to take part of that information.

Diablo

Well, it doesn't say anywhere on the official site or the one you linked to that it does support multiplayer, so many will just assume it supports it (which is, honestly, understandable).  But I have a feeling it's not that the Supercard does not support link play (why wouldn't it?), but that nobody has taken the time to properly troubleshoot multiplayer to figure out how to get it functioning on the Supercard.

I totally agree. But i wonder, is it technologically possible to get multiplayer working. I am not a programmer, but my first thought is the converter being used by SuperCard. I have not read any information of someone trying to emulate nes-games ( Super has built-in support for that ). Because, maybe, it´s the converted roms which cause the problems. I am not a techie, i only know how to plug in a card into your pc and fix drivers etc. but this is something i would like to fix. I believe you people would like to know it is actually POSSIBLE to multiplay, no matter if you do multiplay or not. If someone would like to try to work this out, i would like to contribute in any way i can. I have contacted Supercard.cn myself, and i am waiting for their mail. Will be interesting what they have to say.

Best regards, Tobbe

I will try and contribute too. My friend also will get a Supercard
and im sure we will definitely try to link our sets up.
Anyway its not guarantee cause he hasnt bought the Supercard cause he is still considering it. So ill just have to wait and see....
