Why don't all GBA games work?

Technically speaking, what is the problem, why there are problems in the GBA? Are there emulated parts, which can cause errors? I mean, the games are executed in a real GBA environment...
I also don't understand, why a game crashes sometimes and sometimes not at a special place. Real time loading also often leads to crash of the game, even if there is an *exact* copy of the RAM/game ROM etc.
Why is that?

But nevertheless, SC rocks!

Because the Supercard is emulating a retail cart.  Some retail carts have additional code or features (such as Real-Time Clock support or an internal gyroscope) that must be emulated in order to work properly.  Until they are patched appropriately, they may not work as they should.

It is also apparent that the Supercard needs the structure of the ROM to be modified in order to work, as it is unable to play pure ROMs without patching them using the Supercard patching software.  You'll also notice that ROMs patched with the Supercard software will not work in VisualBoy Advance.

Now, what this modification is, or why it is necessary, I couldn't tell you.

Welcome to the site, BTW.

Also, all current research shows that the slowdown problems are caused by slow RAM chips being used on the Supercard.

so would that mean if the supercard manufacturers put it faster ram chips on the card, it wouldnt have as much slowdowns and stuff? that would really suck knowing that ram is getting cheaper and cheaper. maybe they should release a second version of the card if thats the case.
