Hi all,

Been playing around with moonshell 7, and I'd really like to make a few skins (loved making pogoshell skins, see flashermac.netfirms.com if you need any).

Trouble is, I can change the desktop easy peasy, but I don't know what the terms in the global.ini refer to, e.g. TitleA, TitleD etc.

I'd be very grateful if anyone already has this info if they'd let me know, I'll make any skins I make public on the site mentioned above.

Yea I would also like to know if their is a way to change the stuff like the backgroung picture?  Is the supercard compatable with the background cange thing?

yea, just get the full package, put in your desktop.bmp and recompile with CreateSCSDROM.bat (i have the sd version)

cool im gonna try this when i get home. how do i change the colors of the windows and all

and can i disable the about window and instructions window?

with my pack you can, its in the ini file in the same dir as the .bmp file (Im pretty certain the default skin I used has them disabled already, only the time window positioned to the top left corner)

wow thanks I never knew how to do that, thats cool I can change all the settings. How does the color settings work for the windows? I dont understand with all the letters.

Oh yea and cory1492 I see you bought some of thoes DSilluminator leds from ahead games, I did too but their so small how did you put them in? do you have to break off the old ones and sodder the new ones in? I dont want to break my DS.

I used the free sample that ChipQuick sent me sent, some SMD removal solder (its like solder, but it doesnt require as much heat as solder so when its mixed into other solder the temp is much lower making it alot easier to remove these things). I dont think the LED's i took out will ever work again though... one point you may find interesting, is that the DS seems to work fine without the LED's in circuit at all...

Just make sure you use a 3.3V watch battery or continuity meter to test the LED's direction/polarity before soldering the new ones in or taking the old ones out, as it is tough to salvage a surface mount LED once its soldered in - at this point my recharge light burned out (after about 2-3 charges it just stopped working), so now I have to leave the thing plugged in for what I assume is charged or much longer  :?

Also be sure to use a fairly low temp iron, or a really light touch if you have an iron that is more than 15W, it doesnt take much to overheat these LED's.

the wallpaper NEED to be a 8BIT bitmap or it wont work and will load the  default one..

but its not easy to convert a image to 8bit and still look good

okay thanks for the reply, I dont think I will sodder these in if I have a chance of ruining my leds.  Im not realy that good at soddering.

i'm currently using 256 colors bitmap and they look very good! so my moonshell desktop are pretyy nice....
i use
Ulead Photo Express 2.0 a pretty old graphic program that i had as a bundle with my scanner ....but i think any other good graphic program will do the job...[/code]

i changed the color windows in the ini file ( global.ini ) if iam right but ok it doesnt accept the colour codes at all does someone know were that file is? couse when i chaged the colour codes it goes back to normal so no changes .

It would be great if someone make a theme site for moonshell like flashermac do it for pogoshell !!!
