Nope the reason the kid is doing bad in class is infact not because of a disorder that causes them to not be able to pay attn.  Infact it is because they have their cellphone on them and are text messaging in class.  And likely make regular use of the phone resultign in a prolonged exposure to the the cellphones patented "dumb field".

People think that the SIM cards are where they store info on the cellphone, infact they are boosters for the "dumb field" designed to turn people into Sim's just like in the Sid Meyers game.

Question about this patch thing.

After patching to make it default in DS mode, does the SC still work on GBA?

Yes, simply hold down select when your DS boots, then select GBA mode from the DS menu.

All this patch does is alter the header so that flashme automatically boots into DS mode.

Of course. If you read earlier, to get into GBA mode (or simply to get to the normal DS screen you know and love) you simply hold down SELECT while booting up.

EDIT: Haha! Koji beat me to the punch by one minute!

Thanks. But my question was about if it still run on GBA SP, original GBA or GBA Micro, but I guess it'll still run since SELECT is actually the key to skip autobooting? And then you run it from DS menu like regular GBA cart?

Again, Yes. The only thing that has changed is the header. Headers contain no real information.

No, you won't have to hold select in GBA's. Flashme in the NDS reads the GBA header, if it contains a certain sequence it auto boots into DS mode. Since GBA's don't have flashme installed, they will ignore the header, just like they always ignore the header when loading a game.

When I made the patch, I patched not only the header but the header CRC so it would boot in GBA mode (or on a GBA for that matter) ;)

I didnt say ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) but ADD - which can also mean "distracted"

I forgot that they decided to seperate ADD and ADHD... who knows who has what now though?

According to the new firmware feature list, the next supercard firmware will default to boot in DS mode. Now that is probably a good thing for most people who play from SC more often than playing from original DS cart. Too bad I play from original Animal Crossing DS cart more often (at least once a day) than from SC card so that feature will make it more troublesome for me(well it is just a key press a day or two so just a minor problem, but still...).

So now my question for Cory, if the Supercard maker decide to not offering two firmware (one that default to DS mode and one that default to GBA mode), then are you going to release a version of your patcher that patch it so it'll boot up to GBA mode instead like before? Thanks.

cory1492

Sure can, give me a couple minutes to adjust the header patch to default values ;)

edit:/ included is a pair of archives zipped together, one is the unpatcher (which works with the new 1.60 firmware - for some reason they put PASSPASS in the header instead of just PASS  ) and the other is the patcher from previously.

Note that the patcher has not changed, it will not put PASSPASS like the official firmware, it will only put the proper PASS/checksum.

Victoria Raverna

The unpatcher worked perfectly for me so now I have version 1.60 firmware that not autobooting to DS mode.

So maybe you can change your unpatcher readme to say:

Total happy people this creates: at least one.:)

I don't understand what the point of it is...? You can just hold select on boot up to disable the FlashMe function
