Hi,

Could anybody tell me if there are differences between the SD and CF version of the Supercard regarding:

1. Stability
2. Speed (reading roms/running roms)
3. Rom compatibility
4. Build of the card and the sd/cf slot
5. Quality of movie playback
6. Quality of firmware/software
7. Anything else?

I want to use the SC on a GBA SP (I do not own a DS).

thanks for answering,
Erik.

1. Identical
2. About the same in regards to GBA
3. Identical in regards to GBA
4. I think about the same.
5. Identical.
6. Identical.
7. CF is huge and sticks out a lot. SD sticks out a little.

Cf cards are tough that Sd, but they are bigger that Sd....

With the CF version only the flash card sticks out, the Supercard itself fits snug just like a regular GBA game.  The SD version has no flash card sticking out, but the Supercard itself is more bulky.

You will have to take out the Supercard SD everytime you need to write to the SD.
For Supercard CF you can leave the Supercard in the gba slots as u can unplug the CF card directly.

Critical_Impact

One thing i would note with the SC SD is that it seems to be a bit less compatable with homebrew mainly due to the lack of a sd io driver for it that isnt in assembly. I believe in the future that a new sd io driver will be written and used in most homebrew allowing support for all flash carts.

Currently the only things i can think of that arent working with SC SD are Wifi Transfer(halts half way through) and ScummVM DS

These are compatibility issues for DS owners only. The person clearly states in their post that they will be using the supercard only on their GBA.

Ah, well then, they are basically both the same
