this goes for superpass and super card for compact flash

You'll probally need a passme2/superpass2 unless you're 100% sure it runs an older firmware

I don't currently have any hardware so I'd probably get the newest (superpass2 device right?)

Yes you need to make sure its programmed for a game you're going purchase....
