Basically what I have is a GBA ROM containing the GBAGI adventure game interpreter, along with 15 of Sierra's finest adventure games.  Unfortunately, the ROM was not made with the most recent version of the interpreter, and I wish to upgrade it...

How can I go about splitting the ROM up into its constituent files?  I know that most injector programs use the equivalent of the MS-DOS copy command to inject the files into the ROM, so surely it can be reversed?

Is there a way to extract them?  Most likely, yes.  However, I imagine it would be easier and quicker to just re-download the games (if you don't still have them) and inject them into a new .gba file using the new version of the emulator.

That was my first approach - unfortunately it wasn't me who compiled the ROM (I found it on a p2p network) and I'm having trouble finding reliable downloads for the games

I've just been playing around with a hex editor and managed to get the newer version to load, but it wasn't seeing the games in the file  :x

I suspect the one you're missing is SQ Lost Chapter?

Yes, I don't have that one.

According to the Official GBAGI site's FAQ, only 14 retail games work with the emulator.  Does the injected ROM you have play the game fine with the emulator?
