actually in that auction, in that picture, it looks like the programmer has a USB port, so all you need is the usb cable, right?

NeoShweaty

no, the usb is the power source and you have to put the eeprom in the printer port. apparently this is how this works cause i never got to work

blueoakleyz

argh!
now that i have a DS its like impossible to get a setup goin

zektor

You mean it didn't come with the cable to program? Where did you buy it from?
Nintendo DSi
Nintendo Wii - cIOS38 Revision 12 (and more)
Madden PSP Slim v5.00 M33-6

i haven't purchased the superpass/supercard yet
no one sells the superpass2 with parallel port cable (not even sure if my computer has a parallel port)

Lazybones

You don't need a parallel cable, you just attach the programmer directly to the port then attach the USB cable to power it.

Most systems still have parallel ports, even most newer desktop systems that nolonger have ps/2 mouse and keyboard ports still have  a parallel port

Kudaku

I'm pretty sure that kicktrading.ca sells the superpass2 with the programmer in a package
(they're probably out of stock but the place is reliable so it would be worth it to wait)

are you sure about this? because I'd be screwed if i get it and dont have a parallel cable (or a port for that matter)

Lupin

Kicktrading does have the Superpass 2 in stock and it does include the programmer. Picking up one of these for myself soon also.

I just got my superpass2 yesterday.  Power only through usb.  It plugs right into my parallel port.  Worked great!  Now my new firmware DS is flashed...   It comes with a 2 foot usb cable (standard printer style).
