Hello there, as a few of the forum members know, I have been writing a guide dealing with both versions of the SuperCard to help newcomers such as myself! The guide is currently about %70 done, and is in a handy .chm format. The reason I am posting this here is so I can gather some feedback on what you would like to see in the guide before I release it, depending on your experiences with the SuperCard (good or bad). I expect to finish the guide once I recieve my equipment in the mail to do certain sections that require firsthand experience.

Please let me know what you think!

zektor

This should be an online guide, as well as a PDF download. I own the full version of Acrobat, so I can probably create the PDF guide when you finish if needed.

Sure, feel free to. As for it being online, it's already in HTML, the chm is just a compiled version of it. I mainly want it to be a downloadable version though for easy access.

Nice :)
But you still lack something:
1.- Upgrading Superpass1 to superpass2 (via JTAG)
2.- Using Superpass2 Programmer.
3.- FAQ about Superpass2.

Thsi si because a lot of people get confused with the whole "superpass2 acts as both superpass1 and 2".

Kvasir

Yeah, the SuperPass 2 is a tricky subject for me because I currently know next to nothing about it other than using it (with new DSes) is more complicated. I'll be happy to add those sections in however if you could kindly point me in the direction of any how-to's or info on it.

karurosu

Well, to be honest, I don't know where to look for the info, I posted some information on the forum, basically the stuff you have to make is like a FAQ, if you want, I can help you write that section.

Kvasir

that would help greatly because I wouldn't know where to start. =P

zektor

Well, I do know about the passme2 (which is basically a Superpass2) as I own one and have used it to flash new firmware. As for programming, you got me, as mine came from Natrium42, and of course was pre-programmed for a specific title. Someone else will have to add that information hopefully. I never programmed a Superpass2, or never reprogrammed a Superpass. I just didn't have the need to. But, it seems that if anything, people WILL be programming their Superpass2's because that is the way it works. I may purchase one eventually just for the knowledge.

I need to give an update of some sort that way you know I haven't dropped the guide =P

I'm still working on it, have had my supercard for about a week or so now, still (!) finding new uses for it to add to the guide, it's starting to become a bible of sorts. Work is slow on actually getting the info into the guide, however, because I have been busy lately with school and work. I will definently post it up here the second I have it completed though. =D

Blight

ah 1 thing about the superpass2 that raises the most questions.
if you program it to a superpass 1 the programmer tells you to copy passme1.gba to your supercard which is not neccecairy and doesn't exist.

How about adding a simple guide for bubble2k's prefetech and fastrestart patches? They have proven useful, and could be nice to include in there.

Kvasir

Sure ShadowFalls, If you have a link to the patches I would appriciate it ;)

Blight, thank you, I'll make sure to add it to what I have regarding the Superpass2.

What are the chances of getting this out soon (even a preliminary rough draft unfinished version?). I'm getting my SC soon and am frankly confused about a few small things that look like they're covered here. I think this guide would be an asset to the community and I thank you for putting it together.  :)
