Didn't see a sticky on this and the search didn't turn up anything that directly answered my question.

All of my games (both NDS & GBA) are named something to the effect of 0023 - Star Wars Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith (E)(Trashman).nds.dsi
I would like it to be named something to the effect of StarWars3.nds.dsi
I am aware that I can manually rename them.

Between the NDS and GBA I have close to a 1000 of these suckers and don't want to go through and do it manually. Is there an app out there that will rename them for me according to a database? I remember reading here somewhere that there are apps that do this but can't seem to find the post.

Thanks!  :)

You can use this utility to custom rename GBA roms both zips and roms within the zips.

As for NDS you can use
http://www.romcenter.com/
to rename NDS roms but not sure about custom rename.

I believe you can use this
http://www.ideiadupla.com/gamefront/intro.htm
for renaming of NDS and other types of roms, but this software is "Donate-ware" - 15 days trial. Not used this so not sure.

I hope some part of this helps, second time of typing this in it failed the first time :-)

I've been using Nintenren for my GBA / NDS auditing/renaming needs. Works great.
