i see that when i log onto an irc and i dont quite know what it is and is there any way to change it (i am using hydrairc but can switch)

It's a host mask.

Specifically, it looks like yours. It contains your basic internet provider information as well as your IP address.

In fact, while not necessarily super sensitive, it's not something you really want to broadcast. Anyone can take that host mark, find your IP address, then proceed to attempt to hack your computer (since they know for a fact where you are in the internet)

So you might want to edit your post and remove it if you want to be cautious.
