Hello! I need your help, as soon, as possible. Then I did update DS-"Flash Me" firmware, the power button was pressed accidentally. And now it can't boot. Have I any chances to restore the firmware? I will thankful for any help.

Best regards,
Alexander

Depends how much of the firmware was installed. Erase everything from your supercard and make sure the firmware update is the ONLY file on your supercard.

Now (if I remember right) hold L+R+START+SELECT when you turn on your DS. Hold it a couple seconds then press the A button once or twice. That should load up the firmware and start installing it again.

If that doesn't work, the buttons I mentioned might not be exactly right, try a few other button combos. If none work, then not enough of the firmware hack was installed and your DS is bricked and you'll have to send it in to be repaired. Or if you are still in the warranty period you can try returning it to the store you bought it from.

Yes, it's the A+B+SELECT+START key combo.  If that doesnt seem to work, try the same with passme(and game) in the DS slot.

Thanks. I knew it was something with start and select.

Ds it has been stitched all on 1 %. After long attempts to close contact the button of deenergizing has been casually pressed.
Pressing of a combination of buttons does not help. Guarantees are not present. If still variants of restoration of an insertion?
P.s Excuse for bad English.

ppflash.zip - Contains info, sourcecode and binary to flash the fail-safe loader also contained in FlashMe using a parallel port connection. Some soldering skills are required to perform this operation. Don't worry about voiding your warranty because you already have according to the DS manuals . . .

In the UK, Nintendo would charge to repair this £25.00, well they would look at it see it is not working and send you a new one. I did it and so did a freind of mine but we both had the recipts so got it done free. To flash you DS is not illegal, it your DS you can do what you like but you have voided your warrenty in doing so. If you are no compitent with the soildering iron just send it back, give them a story that you cant get it to work and don't know why and they will probably give you a quote over the phone. It's cheaper than buying a new one!

Good luck!

I find it hard to believe Nintendo will continue this practice for very long if they haven't already stopped.  If people take a perfectly good working DS and "brick" it trying to modify firmware, it's their fault.  Imagine as millions of DS owners discover FlashMe and hundreds of DSs start flooding Nintendo warranty exchange department with little pink stickers missing.  In clear conscience do you think Nintendo should pay the price for our mistakes to gain free games?  Hey if you can get Wally Mart to exchange your DS more power to you, but it is technically fraudulent activity.

All who has responded to my call for help, many thanks! It was possible to me DS to restore a primary insertion by means of a combination of buttons Select+Start+A+B Clamped before inclusion DS, and an insertion noflashme.nds.
Still time all many thanks and greetings from Russia!
