If I play my ds by plugging it into the charger, does this use up the ds's battery?  Is it possible to play the ds by the charger and have no battery at all?

I want to save my battery life, by playing with it with the charger attatched at home, and then without it when I leave the house.

Are third party batteries trustworthy?

Thanks techies

No it won't use up the DS battery. I don't think it's possible to play the DS without the battery.

I don't trust third party batteries... but that's just me.

every time you take out the battery you lose your ds data "time, nickname, and all the other entries"

You can play without the battery as long as you keep it plugged in, but I wouldn't recommend it... if your DS goes without electricity (battery or plug), you lose data, and on the other hand, if you remove/insert the battery while plugged in, you risk electric shock.
