Possible Sticky? Supercard SD or CF card support?

I was wondering if we could get a sticky going on determining which cards have worked with the Supercard SD. Since there are such a vast number of brands, I figure it would be something good to work on. Ofcourse everyone would need to chime in for this :)

Wow, alot of views with no one else replying...

I don't know if it's really necessary - I mean, the general concensus is that cheaper brands are worse than more well-known brands, and faster is better than slower. I think most people recommend 7-8Mbps (40x) and higher, for smooth gameplay. That should just about sum it up ... ;)

Besides, people have different expectations and perceptions when it comes to slowdowns and playability. I, for example, have absolutely NO experience with legitimate games, the only reason I even bought my two DSs in the first place is because my buddy told me about the Supercard SD and I found that I could download a pack containing every game ever released in about 30 minutes. Therefore, I have no idea if what I'm experiencing is "normal" or not, because I've never played any games off a cart (and don't plan to).

In other words, I don't really put a lot of stock in people's perceptions of speed, because I have no idea what they're basing their comparisons on. When it comes to SD cards, I guess it just boils down to: get the best one you can afford.

True, but there have been reports of brands which do not work, might be good for some people to avoid. Me personally, I have had excellent success using a basic Sandisk card. Just trying to get one place for everyone to share their experiences with then scattered all over the place.

I have two generic Sandisk cards as well( 1GB each) and they work pretty well( actually just fine).
But yesterday i bought a Sandisk 2 GB ULTRA II, which is supposed to be faster(9MBsec or 60x) and it seems to work exactly the same, only I can put ALL my DS games on it.
I don't think I did gain any performace out of it, but still it was only 10 USD more and I tought that it might work better in the future when some software can take advantage of it.

I have a generic 256mb SD card for my camera that I used in my SD for a while, it was too slow for a few games, aka tony hawk, AC, Metroid pinball, etc. But beside that it worked fine. I now have a coreMicro canadian brand 45X, 1GB card and it works perfectly.

It's nice to have a faster card even if it's just to transfer your roms/files back and fort from you card to you computer, takes much less time now then with my sandisk. Imagine transfering 2GB from you pc to a slow ass card, it must take for ever!

Inspired in part by this thread, I've decided to pick up a second 1GB SD card, since my wife has been stuck with my old 128MB card and doesn't have enough room for all her games. In the spirit of blowing my hard-earned money, I've decided to go with a 1GB 133x SanDisk Extreme III, not only to compare the speed (between it and my 40x card) but also because I just read that SanDisk Extreme III cards have a lifetime warranty. I figure we're at higher risk of killing our cards due to the fact that the same places are written to over and over again as we save games, so the warranty is a good thing to have.

Just a heads up.

sorry it isn't as complete as the m3 compatibility list but we're working on it (i should also say that sc has less issues with cheap sd cards than the m3 sd)

add to the list the blue sandisk sd 128mb and the maxell 66X extra high speed 512mb (the owner of that thread should update the list :\ )

Just got a new card, I can confirm the A-Data 50x 1GB card works, and quite well at that. Cheap too :)

512MB CF hama (with no speed specs) works fine too
