Hi,

I´ve installed the Superpass 2 Software and my Virus Scanner was triggered by copying the single files to the harddisk.

After I´ve disabled the AV Scanner everything works as expected.

But what kind of code triggers the AV Scanner ?

The whole thing is very curious for me.

Have you similar experience with the SP 2 Software ?

When did you download the superpass 2 software? Not long ago there were viruses on the computer that uploaded the software to the supercard site. If you downloaded it a few weeks ago it is likely that there is a virus in it.

Koji,

no, I´ve downloaded the SP2 Software on Saturday, the 04th of February (last saturday) on this site.

My opinion is, that some kind of code within the regular program triggers the AV Scanner (it must be no damage code, it can be harmless !).

Perhaps a certain sequence of characters in the files. I´m sure that it was not the file which was infected with the virus.

Any other proposals. Or have somenone else made similar experience ?

The program AntiVir is very sensitive in this regard and believes all the superpass2 software's bundled *.gba files to be the "Nintendo Taihen Bricker B".  This must be false, since I used the *.gba files just yesterday to Flash 2 DSs. No bricking done!

The Software was useless to me anyhow (all *.xsvf files were corrupt) and I ended up manually command-lining the "playxsvf501b.exe" in the DOS-Promt using Dark Fader's *.xsvf. The superpass2 software is simply a frontend for this exe anyway...

Can anyone confirm the superpass2 writing problems with the software, because it took me an entire night to figure out the files were corrupt!

BTW: my virus program AntiVir also warns me whenever downloading anything from Dark Fader's page with the same *NDS bricker warning*. Yet, his files are trustworthy.. at least these days  :D
