I just got a GBA SP and a supercard SD.  I have a couple hundred ROMs......however, I'm finding that only about half the roms are working....the other half go through the loading stage, (count up to 4169k or whatever, then the quick 32k) but then I get a white screen or for some roms a black screen.  The unit has crashed and I have to turn it off then on.  The menu sequence (L+R+start+select) doesn't work.

I have read through the forums and most postings seem to lean towards a bad supercard or SD card.  I have done the self test of the supercard and it checked out ok (though it did mention not having a test file - haven't found what test file I might need?).  I also formatted the SD card to FAT(16).  Stilll no better.

Have I missed something obvious?  Could I have that many bad roms?  My friend sent me some roms that work on his cart (not supercard) and only 2 of 4 worked for me.  

Does enabling/disabling any of the supercard options such as cheat, realtime save or any of the others have any impact?  Anything else I should look for?

Have you patched the ROMs with the patching software?

Yes, I have patched them all in one fowl swoop.  Though some of the ones that I am more keen on having working I tried individually but still no success.  However, I did read the Engrish FAQ on the supercard website again (I'd read it at least ten times before) and only now noticed the Q/A regarding disabling restart and cheat if experiencing troubles with some roms.  I'll try that tonite.  Thanks.

Ok, I re-tried patching the roms with all the supercard options off, except patch.  Still, I just get the white screen, sometimes black.  Anyone have any ideas?

I had similar problems. Turned out it was the roms that were causing it. Try to find some new roms, maybe?

did u try without any DS card in the slot?
