SD Supercard + PassMe 2 + DS Roms = Badassness and Questions

Hello all.  I finally got everything going and 6 of the 6 DS roms I've tested work flawlessly.  I have a few 'wrap up' questions.

-I put the SC card in and boot the DS.  I run IQSRAM.gba and it says 'SRAM loaded!' - I quickly turn off the DS, plug in the PassMe 2 (programmed for Metroid Prime Demo) and turn the DS back on.  I am then able to play DS games.  Is there a better way to do this, or is this the way to do it every time?  It's very basic and I don't mind.. but I would love to remove any steps if possible.

-I process DS games via the SC software, and it creates the .sav file, same as GBA games.  How do I save state, the same style as the GBA? ('L - R - Start - B' does not work)

-What is the difference between 'Passkey' and 'Card' on the PassMe2? It seems to work the same regardless of which position the switch is in. My PassMe 2 came with no manuals or anything so I'm flying blind with it.

-How do I reset back to the game select menu ('L - R - Start - Select' does not work)

-Lastly.. the PassMe 2 did not work on my original, gray DS.  I can only get it working on my girlfriends newer, pink one from JP. I did the Firmware test and my old one is v2 and the pink one is v5. Is it extremely difficult to update the firmware on the old one, so the PassMe 2 will work on it? I've read about upgrading the DS firmware online but it all seems overly complex and dangerous to me. Is there anywhere that just lays it out in laymen's terms?

Thanks again to everyone here for being such a huge help with all this.

flash the DS with firmware V6 - superpass not needed once flashed games will then work striaght from SD in the supercard.

Ds games save as normal Orginal games to the SD card, they act exactly the same as orginal - a very few games rewuire saving to orginal Ds game.

Passme2 it won't work on your older DS until you use and flash the older passme1 code onto it as you have it programmed for you newer pink one which requires passme2 code and a specific game that matches your passme2 file.

Passme1 works with any game but only on older DS's, so if you want to use on both you will have to keep flashing the passme with relevent files or as step1 flash both with flashme firmware and you'll no longer need to keep using passme device to boot the games

Unfortunately.. there's a lot of broken English and what looks to be extra information here, like all the mention of PassMe 1, which is irrelevant and confusing.  So I'm still not sure what to do with most of my questions.

Also, the link to the Flashme.html page looks very promising, but that page has a crucial firmware file needed and their link is broken.  Is there another page out there offering the same information?

From what I read, it looks like once you upgrade the DS firmware, the PassMe 2 isn't needed at all, and the DS roms will work flawlessly using only a Supercard.  Is this true?

Thanks in advance.

*BUMP*

Anyone have a link to a basic user guide for the Supercard DS functionality?

Yup, there is a supercard manual here
http://www.supercard.cn/eng/manual/index.htm

Look at the menu bar on the left and click each one to view different areas of the Manual.  Written in Engrish ofcourse but its not too bad.

QuoteQ: Use Real Time Save anywhere?

   * Before sleeping.
   * In the bath room.
   * Go to shopping with girl friend and boring.
   * On train, bus and airplane.

Heh.

Please look around a bit more

I have no problem with downloading flashme

You can NOT save state in a DS game, not supported yet.

-What is the difference between 'Passkey' and 'Card' on the PassMe2? It seems to work the same regardless of which position the switch is in. My PassMe 2 came with no manuals or anything so I'm flying blind with it.

the switch is only used at programming
I uses more power when it's in the program position.
see this page:

-How do I reset back to the game select menu ('L - R - Start - Select' does not work)
ABXY + L + R

in the superpass 2 programmer there is an game named passme1 or superpass1 just program it for that, ignore the message that you have to copy passme1.sav ect cause you don't have to load that if you're using passme1. just slide your game in the superpass and start it.

Download the installation file and flash it on a GBA flashcard and boot it using PassMe or WifiMe.
An alternate version is also available which leaves the health and safety warning screen unchanged.
Open the battery lid, remove the square white/pink sticker from the hole indicated by the arrow in the picture below and make contact between the two SL1 pads by putting a solid metal object in the hole. You could use a screw or screwdriver for example.
DO NOT SWITCH OFF OR REMOVE BATTERY UNTIL IT IS FINISHED! The process is only PAUSED when SL1 contact is lost.
Please do not remove the battery or touch the other two holes!

easy enough you download it, run it on your ds(don't run it through the patcher), put a screwdriver in the little hole under the battery cover and wait... it's done.
