i just downloaded ultimate spiderman and saw that there are no sound effects not even when you hit the enemy is this normal?

Ultimate Spiderman is the only game that I tried on the SC that does not work well. I tried the US, EU and even FRENCH versions. All of them have random lock-ups and missing SFX, as you stated. I DID manage to get into the game a couple of times, using the "be a ninja master and pause the game exactly at the very first millisecond of gameplay" method, but even so, almost every time I try running the game I can't get into it. Even when trying to load the saved game sfter the first stage. This sucks, as it seems this is a really fun and great game!

Even Tony Hawk's and Metroid Pinball are working flawlessly for me (on my 60X Sandisk Ultra II SD Card). All I had to do is follow the recommendation of copying all the games at once into the SD card so they won't get fragmentes. But Ultimate Spiderman is pissing me off...

Sorry to bounce this back, but I also play Ultimate Spiderman and despite a few problems I still like this game.

First, in order to hear sound FX you have to go to the in-game option menu and adjust the sound level. I found out that music level should be 20% and SFX 100% in order to be balanced.

Second the game never crashed on my system, and I run it trough a plaind 1GB sandisk card patched trough v2.51 .
Unfortunally there are some slowdowns, expecially noticeable on the third level when fires sprinkel out of the houses.
It's still a very good game though, much better then Spiderman2 IMO!

Also, to stop the crashing at the very start, first go into the game's menu, to Options, then press B to go back, and choose Single Player to start.  If I click on Single Player first, it usually locks.

Actually sorry guys,
I thought you were talking about the GBA version.
Since this is the general forum and not the NDS compatibility one, I was misleaded.
Now I see that it's the NDS version we are talking about, and I also experience the same problems/workarounds.
