DPG website where all supercard members can upload

Wouldn't it be amazing if there was a website where all fo us could upload out converted dpg files? That way other users wouldn't have to suffer the
laborious process. I am only a student and have not the knowledge how to create such a site, but I'm sure there are some amateurs out there who could do it.

What say you all to this idea? :?

Thing is, if the dpg's are tv shows and movies, well they are considerd illegale. Someone could get into trouble. Plus having lots of those DPG's could take lots of room, you would need a big server,that will costs.

What I think could work would be to have a small simple website, that users/us could upload some small .torrents file. We would then be sharing all our dpg's through those torrents. Taking care of the bandwith and no one to blame. I see torrents for ipods all the time, it would be great to have some for nds! I'm think something like this could get big fast and have a good load of dpg's in no time... If ppl want to participate.

The roms you are using on your SC are illegal to. I thought about something like this earlier and it would be cool if there was a place where DPGs could be shared freely. But like you said, you would have to have a big server with TONS of bandwidth and that would cost money.

Torrents would be a great idea!! I'd participate for sure.

rapid share has TOO many limits:

-uploaded file size limit
-download limit (after downloading a 30MB file you have to wait for like 70 minutes, before you can download another)
-only one file at a time per IP
....

torrents would be the best way to go!! people are already sharing Ipod-size movies or psp (>>mp4) format etc.

I still need to try if installing the newest Divx codec will solve the "could not determine length of file" error

otherwise, I'm all for the idea

JUST for testing (meaning I'll kill the link, if this is against the rules).

(it's 40MB encoded from a 174MB divx TV-capture)

It's good but there is some smearing on the screen, I think your FPS are set too high in dpgenc. What did you put it at? I find 12 fps works best. I uploded a torrent on a tracker and on a torrent site out there, try to find it lol. It's the first time I create and upload a torrent I hope it works.

frames on that file was 18fps... I thought any lower would result in stuttering! I guess there's still quite a bit of room for tweeking. I just don't like the idea of converting everything to an mpeg first (that would simply be too many steps). I'd like to see any other attempts for comparison!
