Can't get supercard/superpass2 to work.

I got both the Supercard and the Superpass2 for my NDS a few days ago from cheapmod, but i can't find any sign of either working. I've followed the guide provided on supercard.cn and i believe i've done everything right. So far, the closest result to anything that i get is a white screen. However, this white screen right after the beginning after the 'Touch screen to continue' that you get after you boot up the DS, and doesn't sound like the same white screen everyone else has been talking about on here (which from what i can tell appears after the rom select screen, which i don't get).

I've tried putting the four games i have on it so far, for both DS (meteos, Another Code) and GBA (Shaman King, Legend of Zelda), as well as the kernal update i found on the offical website, and the firmware update for the superpass2, but i can't seem to get anything to work. I can't access the kernal update because the browser won't appear, and i can't upgrade the firmware on the superpass2, because it says " Hardware not connect to PC\USB Cable not connected\SP2 keyswitch not open". The first two are okay for that but i don't know what this keyswitch thing is. Although even if that problem wasn't there, i still can't get the supercard to work on gba games.

What am i doing wrong?

For the record i am using a 128mb SD stick (cleanly formatted to FAT) and have a silver DS from 2004. If i could get an answer as soon as possible as i need to send it back for a replacement if it's faulty. Lotsa thanks in advance.

I think i have a earlier version of the ds firmware.
and you need superpass1. I think You can make superpass2 into a
superpass1 but i dont know how.
sorry

Yes, superpass2 will work with all DS versions . . .

Can you get to the supercard menu by starting the DS in GBA mode? Can you play GBA games roms in GBA mode?

You need to make sure your roms are valid with Nintenren or something.  You need to patch your roms with latest supercard patcher software.  You should be able to get to the supercard menu and load the supercard firmware in "GBA mode".  The superpass2 should come pre-configured as a "passme1" by default, and should boot your version DS to the dual screen logo menu when inserted.

No to both questions, which is why i'm beginning to think there's a problem. Besides the white screen at the 'touch screen to continue' i can't get any further. I don't get any form of options from the supercard or anything. All it does is stop the DS dead. I'm gonna try it on my friend's GBASP tomorrow to see if that might yield any results but i doubt it.

Even if the roms weren't able to work, i should at least get an empty menu or something, right?

Yes, you should get to the supercard menu with a blank (formatted) SD inserted.  Have you tried without superpass2 inserted?  Can you try a different SD?  Most likely you have a bad supercard, or a problem with the SD or GBA slot contacts.  Testing on your friends GBA-SP is a very good way to eliminate possibilities.
