however that will probably be a add on as a software included in the package when you buy the product or as a separate product

Lazybones

Just got a new PDA and was testing out the ultra small mobile browsers. Turns out Opera rendered FAR more pages correctly or in a readable fashion.

Big problem with surfing on a small screen is scaling the images.. Opera is the only one that I have seen that does this somewhat well.

i have emailed NOA about the browser and release date they replied me with this statement:

Hi!

Thanks for sharing your interest in the Opera Browser.  As you seem to already know, that game has been announced for release in Japan.  So far, there hasn't been an official announcement of a release outside of that market.

There are many reasons that Nintendo or any other Japanese publisher may decide to release a game solely for the Japanese market.  These can include difficulty or cost of localization, the size and financial strength of the publisher, and (most often) the idea that the game will simply not be accepted or enjoyed in other markets.

However, there are (like you) real fans of those games or franchises in this market who would love nothing more than to see these games on store shelves here.  I understand (and sometimes even share) your frustration!  Having said that, please understand that those fans constitute a very small portion of the gaming public, too small to justify the costs associated with bringing a game here.

Of course, you never know what the future holds, as evidenced by the appearance in this market of previously Japan-only franchises like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem.  Keep an eye on our website (http://www.nintendo.com/newsmain) for all the latest news as it becomes available.

Quote from: "bitblt"Anyone remember web browsers runnung on 386s? There will definitley be a web browser for DS, garanteed. Probably real soon now that the homebrew WIFI stuff is working. I wouldn't be suprised if Nintendo even offered one. Don't expect the browser to support Java and ActiveX though My guess is it will work as well as any PocketPC browser . . .

its upon us now and it will only be $30 (£20 in my currency)  and this is great perfect i will just wait to see if they do release it in UK or US or before someone makes a dump of the it by its JP release date in June

well i think its like play-yan you neet to buy it to play it i think there might be something special that comes with the package. so might be possible that we wont be able to use it as a rom.

robo

I doubt it. Press release said it was a standard ds cart.

monaug5

and its very cheap aswell i would be willing to buy it since its put my MOFIREDS crew out of business for now!!

ssj4android

It's supposed to come with a GBA RAM cart. I don't think there's any confirmation of that though. Maybe it could be patched to use the Supercard's RAM instead?

Dudu.exe

Opera will come with a GBA CARD RAM EXPANSION... sorry but i dont think it  will be good to surf without it!

Madrigal

I don't mind paying $40 or whatever for it. Some things you just need to bite the bullet and buy.

This is clearly just for browsing.
so where to save a cookies?template etc?
if this software can store some template why it can't dl a files then?

I don't mind paying for it, but i hate the idea of grabbing an extra cartridge every time i go out with my ds and having to take out my supercard and swap them whenever i want to use the web.  ah well, better than nothing...

Yeah I think the same here, the best scenario would be to have the rom opera running off your SD or CF and then a special patch would use supercard's ram instead of that special ram expansion. But this is just a dream lol.
