Is there a way to run ROMS from Moonshell? When I try and run it, I get a message that it can't read a .DSQ file. If I try and run an .NDS ROM, it white screens after loading. I'm running Moonshell 1.0. Thanks :)

Some .nds files will load and run, but most won't. DSQ will probably never run. Just reboot your DS, it only takes a second.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it's no big deal to reboot. It would just be nice to load them without having to. Oh well :?

It's possible that DSI and DSQ support could be added in the future. The probem is the main coder doesn't have a supercard. The source code is freely available though, so maybe someday. Till then, just have to restart.

Would it have to be done by re-writing Moonshell itself, or could it be done through a simple plug-in? If it could be done through a plug-in, it probably wouldn't be that hard for someone with some basic coding knowlage to make.

Well, I've been a professional Software Engineer for more than 15 years.  Moonshell would not have to be re-written to support DSI and DSQ files.  In fact it would probably only take a few lines of code.  The ARM9 registers would have to be properly set up, then branch back into the SC code at a specific entry point, the exact location in the SC code that loads DSI and DSQ files.  The problem is only Romman's team has intimate knowledge of SC code.  Perhaps Romman will make a plug-in?

Cool. Is there a way to contact Romman to ask him? Does he speak English?

I don't think Romman speaks English, and even if he does I don't think he would be interested in sharing his source code with me.

Edit:  Actually, if Romman could publish some standard vectors, we wouldn't need knowledge of his source code.

Madrigal

Haha. I meant ask him to make the plugin. I got his contact. Now I just have to see if he speaks Cantonese or Mandarin. If it's Mandarin, I'll get my girlfriend to ask him.

I talked to him on MSN and he said it's a bit of trouble but he would think about it. Well, I tired. Hopefully he'll do it.

ask for some headerfiles im sure they wouldnt refuse as they released the i/o yet again that only had hw adresses not actual code

anyway if his headers are clean of code then they wouldnt reveal top secret code
