According to the website, the functions of the sd version is the same as the cf version. The only difference is the type of storage media used, although they only do mention that they changed the PCB used (not too sure what is that).
 love SC! :D

Having SCCF, SCSD, SCminisd, SCDS, M3CF, M3SD (the large one), M3minisd, G6 lite and gamebank128M

I like the design.  It's set up like the Play-Yan.  It should be more durable because of this.

Also, the PCB is the printed circuit board.  This really doesn't tell us if the slowdown problems will be fixed or not.  It'll probably come down to someone testing it.

Do they believe that these new versions can also work with MMC? since most of the teams (Not all) they work the formats indistinctly (anyway although alone works with SD there is not problem)
They were able to make to the perfect SC

So where can I get one, since I dont have a supercard yet?  I preffer sd card more than CF, becuase of its size and the supercard SD verison looks better than the original.  Also it would look really good with the gba micro.

maybe they're hoping that people will think that because they changed the pcb then it magically fixed any problems that the cf version had.  so roman catholic priest pulls a george bush type personality but fixes the problem.  i hope that's the case, of course it's obvious new pcb ain't going to fix the cf's flaws.  maybe it has more meaning to it than what seems..

Nobody will know until it gets tested.  This forum will help spread the word either way.

Am I right in thinking that the SD card slots into the side of this, so the whole thing sits flush?  If so, then this would be tho only advantage of this over the CF version - IMO not worth buying another one just for this feature.

Anybody got any more info on this - like is it out yet?

wulfie

I'd definately be interested in this IF it's better than the CF supercard.  i.e. slowdowns, roms not working, etc, etc.  Now to find a dealer like winsunx that carries it since I can't read german and/or japanese to understand the dealer websites

Thanks for the heads-up.  Looks like the new version is finally ready to be purchased from a retailer that ships to the US.
