Quick question before ordering because I love how supercard is really cheap compared to M3. I have a Nintendo DS(launch version) so I guess its firmware 1.

1. Will I have troubles reading games with firmware 1 and do I have to upgrade it?

2. Are there alot of support for supercard such as patches for games if they don't work? I notice that M3 has tons of support.

3. Can you please estimate what % of games work on supercard? Is it 80% or higher? Also does Mario Kart DS works with firmware 1 version.

4. Will this be all I need to play backup NDS games? I already have a USB cord and card reader for my PC. Is that the right kind of Superpass I need for a Nintendo DS firmware 1? Or should I get a PassMe instead of Superpass?

Thanks alot for spending your time to answer. Planning to order it after these questions are answered

Also I know that I have firmware 1 because I did the pictochat bug. There were no colors and it only froze.

You need both supercard+passme to play DS game roms, period. (well there is WiFiMe)

1) Upgrading your DS firmware with FlashMe is optional.  FlashMe lets you play DS games without needing a passme device. You have an older version DS firmware so you don't have to bother with programming passme2.  Get a passme2 or superpass2 anyway though, as they will work as a regular passme.
2) I think supercard has very good DS support.
3) Almost 100% DS game compatibility: http://www.dualscene.net/lists/index.php?listname=Supercard
4) You should decide if you prefer supercard SD or supercard CF.  They both work the same so the choice is yours.

Can I get the Superpass instead of the PassMe? The superpass looks better external than the passme ^_^

Yes, superpass will work for you.  Get the superpass2 though, as it will work the same as a regular superpass/passme.

bitblt: Superpass2 won't work the same as superpass 1. You'd have to do all the steps of a superpass2 even though the person has an older DS.

You have a V1 firmware just like me, just get a standard passme1 it works fine for me.

actually no you dont, because i bought a superpass2 but the switch broke off so i couldnt update its firmware to work with my red ds so i exchanged it for an older silver ds and it worked fine as a superpass 1

Superpass2 comes configured as "passme" by default.
