Check out the Amiga specs, I beleive that the DS could handle it easily:

I really would love to play Superfrog or Benefactor on DS..

I want some scorched earth action !  And stunt car racer.

I would love to work on this but there are 2 problems.  1. I'm not a programmer. & 2. I have 0 spare time right now.  :(

An Amiga emulator would be great!

But why, o why do we not have a C64 emulator yet???
How cool would that be?

Paradroid & Wizball on the DS!!!

http://gpf.dcemu.co.uk/ GPF has a port of Frodo "nearly ready"... I wouldn't hold out that much hope for Amiga personally - very difficult to emulate due to lots of custom chipsets - the Atari ST is simplier...

Excellent, a C64 emulator.  I want to run GEOS on my DS.

I agree the Amiga and Atari ST would be difficult to emulate because of custom chipsets, and the complexities of the M68k processor.  The 8 bit 6502 (C64) and Z80 (GBC) are relatively simple.  The DS has about 10X cpu power of an Amiga 500, but there is overhead for chipset/graphic/sound/timing emulation.  A large portion of the emulator would have to be programmed in ARM9 asm.  I wish I had more talent and time.

I was really hoping someone would send a response like this :-D

I looked around several months ago and found nothing, I'm very happy with this news.

Thanx Ratx.
