After playing with a GP32 over the weeked, i am surprised no one has bought out a Megadrive Emulator yet. I know there is one that was supposed to run at about 30 fps and another which runs at 1fps. Is there any update on these?

The GP32 runs really well.

it would be great to have a genesis emulator, please post any news about that. ;)

Limbo

I Don't know how it would be possible.

The genesis has 6/8 buttons (can't remember if their were shoulder buttons or not) and the Ds only has 4 (6 if including shoulders)

MAD2X

If my memory serves me right the first genesis controllers had 3 buttons, then they upgraded them to 6 buttons, it had NO shoulder buttons. So the DS  would work fine with 4 buttons plus 2 shoulders.
ilver NDS w/Flashme V.6
Supercard SD v1.61 firmware
1 GB coreMicro high speed card

Jax

Almost every games uses only 3 buttons. Some fighting game like Streets of Rage 3 use all 6.

I need a genesis emulator

Super Street Fighter 2 could be played with both the 3 button and 6 button.

The 3 button controller was at a disadvantage, though, because you had to press start to switch between using punches and kicks.
