i just searched Tetris DS and nothing came up about the sav file being corrupted. has anyone got a work around this yet?

Go look in the DS Compatibility forum. There's a three-page thread there already. Go read it.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.
