Ok, i see a lot of people moaning that they cant play their roms online, but let me ask you this, Can you play your PS2 and PC Pirates online, the answer to that is most CERTAINLY NO!. so stop whining that romman is too incompetant or whatever to fix online games, besides, the replayability of online games like Warcraft III(PC) and MK:Deception(PS2) make them well worth buying so why is it that the online replayability of Metroid Prime : Hunters is not worth buying the game over for instance :x

I guess I will move the Reverends   post to the General section, let him get beat on for awhile and then close it,lol.

heh, it really depends on your game, the difference between PC and PS2 is the major restrictions in play and the need to connect to a central server. All games direct by IP only ever need a different CD-Key.

So when you make comparisons, back it up with some real information that matters.

you can play ps2 games if you patch the disc so it has a different ID.

Not so much a question, as a rant I feel.

I personally don't think that such rampant sanctimonius ire has a place here.

We hack Nintendo. There, we are naughty. So what?

However, I do agree that people bitch at Romman, when the guy has been a star to be honest.

RaZieL

all im saying is, dont EXPECT it, be happy when someone can do it, but dont bitch at them if they cant, im not running you okes down or anything, i play these roms as well, because i live in a queer country that is behind in technology, and our stores sell 10 of the earlier NDS releases, piracy is practically an economy, and there is actually nothing game developers can do to prevent it, im not saying dont support piracy and im not saying support piracy, im just pointing out that pirated games sometimes dont work as well as the originals and sometimes they work better, but if the game you like wont play online, ask if someone can fix it, if they cant, dont call them uncaring selfish greedy individuals, romman for instance is trying his best, and its not that he doesnt care about us, hes obviously just got a lot on his plate. So please do not think i am insulting you, im just stating the truth

P.S the part about buying games is merely listing the final alternative for playing online

sneef

out of curiosity, what "queer" country do you live in?

ShadowFalls

The difference in pirated copies compared to hardware is noticeable. Since its not a newly designed and marketed device, you can't expect much out of pirated software from "those" countries. What Romman has is a device, and as such, one which should be properly supported. That is all people really expect.

Besides a well-supported device is good for both the consumer and the manufacturer.

RaZieL

South africa, i agree with the above post, but i think romman has offered great support to his product

My Metroid rom is playing online just fine..
So is Tetris, Mario Kart and AC WW.

What about DNAS IDs for PS2 games and CD-key authentication for PC games?   :doubt:
